take time to peruse our guidelines and Small Print which cover
all submitted material.
TEXT FORMAT
- Submitted text is preferred in a Microsoft Word document, but
we can read many other word processing files. We prefer text
to be emailed direct to the editor, but you may send text on
a CD, or as a printed, hard copy. See contact details below.
- Please include author’s name and complete contact information
with all submissions. A title and brief introduction to preface
features are also encouraged.
PHOTOS
We require illustrations or photographs to accompany projects and
features where possible.
- Requirements for photos and artwork:
- High-resolution digital images that are at least 1 Mb in
size for JPEG format (4 Mb+ for TIF images) with a resolution
of 300 dpi. Images may be sent via email, on CD or uploaded
to our ftp server online.
- Hard copy photographs printed on photo-lab quality paper
(not from an inkjet printer) are also accepted. Photographs
must be sharp, clear and scannable.
- Camera-ready line drawings or computer generated illustrations
to accompany photographs are not required, but encouraged,
especially if they add clarity to a project. Drawings that
need to be redrawn for publication are acceptable.
REMUNERATION
- We pay a nominal fee for features and varied editorial that
meets our requirements and is submitted as a complete article.
Payment is made upon publication of the article. The amount of
payment is determined by the editor based upon, but not limited
to, the following criteria: article and photograph quality, length
of article and overall complexity of the work.
- If remuneration is warranted, contributors may also choose
to take their payment in the form of magazine subscriptions/renewals,
back issues, or advertising credit. Please contact us for more
information.
